Your Personal Best...

Hey all..

so.. alas I still didnt get this mornings challenge done.. and to be honest before I was in the right mindset, not getting things done on the list would really have bothered me and brought down the rest of my day..

but ive been working on my Personal Best.. what is that for me.. what does it mean for me..

Well I sat down and thought about during a day.. the awake hours.. what is important to me..

here is what I came up with

- Self care time (make up, shower, etc etc)
- The kids cared for- dressed, fed, some structure to their day
- A good Homemaker- keeping things picked up, making good meals for my family


Not a super long list.. but the little things that go in each list can take up a whole day..


I try and take some me time and sit down at  night and make a GOALS list for the next day.. not a "TO DO" list.. who really wants TO DO anything.. I personally dont.. but I know if I meet some personal goals and strive to have a healthy attitude about them.. I feel really good..

My general list consists of the following

- Kids- up, dressed, fed, activity

-Me- up, dressed, fed

- Devotional/prayer time

- prep anything needed for dinner

(i have a weekly cleaning calender so Im not stuck cleaning the house ALLLL day every day, so today was)-

-Dust blinds and wipe down moldings in the house

-Make beds

1 load of laundry

Now this seems like ALOT to some and others are saying, man this lady needs to get off her butt and do some stuff..

But if Im trying to geting everything done all in one day.. the hous spotless.. activities for the kids, myself put together, and dinner on the table.. Im going to be grouchy and irritated because its not possible.. Its not possible to have a showroom house 365 days a year..I can not get my house spotless in a day.. im not at my PERSONAL BEST when i try to do everything ALL THE TIME..

so this list is my personal best.. anything else like an organizing tip or decluttering area.. thats bonus work.. that at the end of the day is something I can say.. I met my goals and then some..
but I dont beat myself up when i go upstairs to make the bed and see I have no even made a plan for the master closet space.. Its ok.. Life happens, we have lives and we need to live them..

So what is your Personal Best???What are you goals each day.. start with 1 or 2.. maybe you want your  bathroom picked up more often.. Maybe you stay in jammies a lot but have been feeling down about your appearance.. then maybe todays the day you go pick out some clothes and slap a little make up on.. It never hurts.. figure out what your personal best and strive for that.. but dont beat yourself up when you have an off day. or if it takes a while to build up to your Goal..

Do the best you can.. thats all anyone can ever ask of you..
