A Bowl Full of Lemons
HAPPY WEDNESDAY ALL...
Hope you've been following this week.. I revealed the Closet of Shame and announced the winner of the Giveaway... Also I have been hit with Spring Cleaning Fever.. I gave you all a link yesterday to Kelly's awesome Printable for a Spring Cleaning, Cleaning List..seems ambitious but I think its the right way to start Spring.. I think I will be starting this weekend.. and Maybe do a few rooms each weekend until its done.. SUPER PUMPED..
ALSO, Jen from Iheart Organizing had posted a February challenge that I did not exactly take place in.. well I didn't know I had at the time of doing my kitchen project..
However In reading through her Challenge info and then seeing her reader spaces I realized my kitchen (while some areas are very put together) some drawers and cabinets are just a mess, and my kitchens space is not used to its full functionality..
SOOO today I will begin cleaning out cabinets and drawers and rearranging area.. I figure I can manage a section at a time... that way I'm not going at this all day and missing time with the kiddos..
Ill be posting pictures as I go..
However in my quest for all things DIY and Organize I came across another great blog called.. A Bowl Full of Lemons..
I LOVE this gal..
I know you all must think all I do ALLLLLL DAY is clean.. and some days you would be absolutely right.. but most days I spend 10-15 minutes in each room, and one room each day gets a good cleaning that can take longer.. this allows me time for projects with the kids or just some good old fashioned playtime.. which come on.. I'm a stay at home mom.. free range playtime with mom is a HUGE perk for my kids..lol..
I also like to cook dinner and bake with the kids.. so why on earth do I want to spend all day cleaning..
Check out this blog in her clean home 101 section.. she breaks each room down on the most efficient way to get things the way you want..
LOVE IT.. and the best part is.. she only spends 15 minutes in each room.. NOW.. my little disclaimer on this 15 minute biz I do.. this after I have maybe taken a morning of really cleaning a room.. as I said I spend a good amount of time in one room each day.. this allows me to dust, declutter.. really clean the room.. what this gal is talking about is after you have spent your hard earned time on a room.. this is a way to keep it the way you have it.. I can not recall how many times Ive spent a whole Saturday on one room only to have it a mess a week later.. Its an awful feeling and makes you want to throw in the towel on cleaning all together..
These Tips.. or I will call them Habits.. are awesome.. DEFINITELY check out this gals blog..
