Kitchen Debacle - Part 1.. the BEFORE

Man oh man.. Just when I think.. Ahhhh I can relax.. NOPE..

After finishing the Dining room up with the Closet of Shame.. I made the silly mistake of Reading the Iheart organizing blog.. there was a February Kitchen Challenge I missed out on.. Well kind of.. I did do a few small kitchen projects.. BUT. I can DO MORE...lol

This Saturday I will be re organizing my kitchen..

here's what I have to work with..

NO JUDGING.. Its quite the disorganized mess..

Here is the main part of the kitchen.. Not huge but def way more space than I have ever had in a kitchen..

Here is what I call the "Side Fridge" Area.. its a nice work space but its ALWAYS cluttered with stuff.. I even recently cleaned the whole thing off and decluttered.. you wouldn't know it..

This is what I call the Husband/Pet cabinet..lol.. notice almost empty bag of chips next to dog treats.. YUP.. keep the junk in one cupboard..lol.. however Ill own up to the tostitos.. 

this is the medicine cabinet of the house I recently went through.. still looking pretty good..

THE DRAWERS.. surprisingly I can find anything I want in my kitchen when i want in..lol.. on the far left we have Junk drawer #1.. followed by the middle drawer which is holding the Hand mixer and electric knife.. I think a package of straws and my aprons.., Drawer 3 is holding all the kids plates, cups and bowls..

This was the one spot that irritated me when we first looked at our house..

this cabinet holds frequently used appliances like a crock pot, my George foreman.. however notice, I can only open one side due to the radiator being right in front of the second cabinet door.. GRRRRR

here we not only have a dog squeaky toy on the floor.. but my baking pans and muffin tins.. I found at Good will a Pot and Pan Lid holder.. didn't like how it worked out for lids so I use it now to organize my Baking sheets..

Canned goods. what few we have..

Lazy Susan that generally holds all pots, pans and mixing bowls etc etc.

On the right I have my plates and bowls.. the rest is me saying.. hmm i have space here Ill toss it..lol

Back to the Side Fridge Cabinet area I keep my kitty food.. why I'm wasting a good cabinet on kitty food I DUNNO

In an effort to keep my counter less cluttered I put my Toaster in a random cupboard.. Loaf pans on the bottom.. 

Next to the stove I keep my oven mits, Trivets, and spoon rests.

Spice cabinet.. I spent a couple bucks on a lazy Susan piece for spices.. WASTE.. did not making any more organized.. I also have some 3M hooks holding a couple of my Kitchen Aid utensils.

Silverware Drawer.. Pretty standard.

In my defense.. This was nice and organized as recent as Monday.. but I have a son who thinks its fun to drag alllll the Tupperware out on a daily basis.. i think I might be giving up on this cabinet until he no longer holds an interest in them

Sink and Dishwasher..

Junk Drawer #2.. this houses basically MY items.. my inhaler, all my pens markers, random odds and ends the kids ask me to put in a safe place..lol..

Under the junk drawer we have my storage/Freezer Bags

Under that, tinfoil, parchment, foil and I needed a good long drawer for my rolling pin..lol.. Random I know

Under the sink.. another recent project was under my sink.. Still looking good although a few items have been added..

WOW.. it just took me 20 minutes to edit, upload and explain all the pics.. the pictures make me feel worse about how it looks.. but alas.. I'm human.. I'm also a mom and a wife and I do happen to have a life..lol

Soo it is what it is.. and what it is, is it will be changed..lol..

I have spent the past couple days mapping out how my kitchen is currently being used.. how dysfunctional it is. I have decided how I want it rearranged. It does involve about 20$ for some storage ideas as well as a new Spice Jar system.. SOO.. 

That's that.. looks like after my bi weekly grocery trip on Saturday.. I have my work cut out for me..lol..
