one of the BEST inventions of our time....

Chalboard Spray Paint?  REALLY??? crafting and projects have just become super easy and much more attainable.. every day I see new ideas and things on pinterest, and i cant believe the things people come up with.. things like.. Chalkboard paint in a spray paint can..

Soooo I found this fake silver tray i must have bought from the Dollar Tree Years ago.. I always wanted to make it pretty but did not know how.. Insert Chalkboard Spray Paint here..lol

This was even cheaper that the last spray paint i used for my last project.. the oil rubbed bronze spray...

soo I set my items up to make sure I had everything I needed for this project

then I took my painters take and taped off the parts I wanted to keep silver.. this was really easy to do..and the tape was easy to work with...

I probably could have been even more precise in my taping.. but I was happy with what I had come up with...

PS I did all this while my Roast was cooking in the oven last night.. SUPER easy and not very time consuming..

So I headed to the basement and put on the first coat- they do suggest the rustoleum primer before hand but I just thought I would see how it would turn out..

after the first coat which was dry within 20 minutes.. I added a second just to be safe since I did not use the primer..

AND below you have the finished product.. pardon my messy handwritting..

You could write anything you want on it.. a bible verse, a favorite quote.. your grocery list.. the possibilities are endless.. SUPER excited how it turned out..

the little stand it is on is a little photo/plate holder I found at Dollar tree.. our local dollar store.. Im telling ya.. that place has hidden treasure all over it.. you can also still buy these trays from that store.at out store they had square, rectangle and round.. ALL of the shapes fit into there $1 holders.. I checked..lol..

See.. a little old (something I found in the house) $1 on something new.. and I have a nice little sign for my kitchen..

Much Love and Blessings

OH also.. if your wondering.. Man she tries to do things low cost but she bought spray paint for ONE project.. NO NO NO.. I have wanted to try this product on my pantry door.. to keep a running list of items we run out of.. but I was nervous to paint such a big area without knowing how the product works and holds up... so this was perfect.. I barely used an paint from the can.. I have plenty to do the other project as well... Mutli use purchase..

Thanks Lynn.. the woman I have got this motivation from is a wonderful blogger.. Ive realized Ive been filling my life with stuff.. items, purchases etc.. those physcial things are not feeling my emotional needs.. so In the process of organizing and cleaning things I keep finding things I can use in other spaces.. which keeps me from shopping for new items.. Its been great for me.. making my house a home.. it will have messes and dinner will get burnt sometimes..lol.. but its my home.. time to make it that way instead of filling it with items.. im filling it with love.. i know cheesy.. but its the truth.. Glad you like the Tray.. super easy and cheap.. I like it..glad you do too
